3D Fantasy Zone is famous SEGA that is finally ported on 3ds by M2 and now players in Europe can experience the greatness of this game via http://3dsmulatorx.net. Originally it was released only in Japan for Master System and then ported to arcade hardware.

3ds version is almost the same as original from 1987, and still it looks great. Some adjustments were updated by SEGa in 2008, but the basic setting remained the same. The gameplay in this second part of the game is not drastically change from the first Fantasy Zone. You will control your Opa-Opa by moving him left and the right trying to destroy enemies. If you succeed to destroy all bases in the stage you will unlock a battle against gigantic boss. After you defeat the boss you will be granted entrance into the next stage. The gameplay and this setting is same as it was in original game, so in some parts Fantasy Zone II looks more like expansion than new game.

The difficulty in this second game is more polished, that is more easier for new players. Nevertheless to beat later levels you will need significant level of skills. Coins that you collected from defeated enemies can be spent for upgrades. You can upgrade your engine or by some improvements. Good option is to buy extra lives. The price of item also increases with levels, so you will need a lot of coins to keep balance. New feature of the game are hidden shops that sells items for much more cheaper price than normal shops. You will need to unlock them at certain parts of the game. The shops are not the only hidden things in the game, you will also need to find hidden warp points behind enemy bases. Each stage can contain more than one warp point, so you can manage between dark and light sides of the game via warps on every level.

The level layouts are almost the same like layouts in the previous game, even the elements look more vivid and colorful. The graphics are improved with 3D effect, but during intensive battles 3d effects may be a little distracting. Only on this 3DS version you will be able to play new mode, named Link Loop Land. It uses same stages as main game, but with drastically changed gameplay. You will be able to unlock special, hidden levels and features in this mode. Both modes,The Tears of Opa-Opa and Link Loop Land, give a very different feel and are not meant to be played in the same style. They are so different that in some elements they are completely different the game. Controls in 3D Fantasy Zone II are perfect, you will have complete control through the Circle Pad and D-pad. Music in the game is very similar to original title, it is what makes SEGA unique and original. You will need a lot of time to unlock everything that can be unlocked in this game. 3D Fantasy Zone 2 is absolute classic game that we highly recommend to everyone.
